Manchester City have completed the signing of Iliman Ndiaye on a five-year contract, the club have announced. The 26-year-old Senegal international moves to the Etihad Stadium after two seasons with Everton.
City did not disclose the transfer fee. Ndiaye joins Enzo Maresca’s first-team squad as an attacker capable of playing from either wing or through the middle.
Ndiaye said the move represented the opportunity he had worked towards throughout his career. He added that City’s preference for attacking football with the ball made the club an appealing fit for his game.
The forward built his reputation at Sheffield United, where he was named the club’s player of the year during their 2022/23 promotion season. He then spent one campaign with Marseille before returning to England to join Everton in 2024.
City’s announcement listed 17 goals and three assists in 71 appearances across Ndiaye’s two full seasons at Everton. His close control and ability to carry the ball in one-against-one situations have been central to his Premier League performances.
At international level, Ndiaye has represented Senegal at the 2022 and 2026 World Cups. City said he had won 44 senior caps at the time of the transfer.
Ndiaye will now begin work with Maresca and his new teammates. Manchester City have not confirmed whether he will be available for their next Premier League match.

After early football in France and Senegal, Ndiaye moved to England and entered the professional game through Boreham Wood and Sheffield United. His promotion-winning season with the Blades established him as one of the Championship’s most productive attackers.
A move to Marseille followed in 2023 before Everton brought him back to the Premier League one year later. Regular top-flight minutes at Goodison Park gave City a substantial body of domestic evidence before completing the deal.
What happens next
Ndiaye will compete for minutes across City’s forward line after the international transfer window closed. His first task is to learn the team’s positional requirements and establish combinations with the club’s other attacking players.
City have not attached a public debut timetable to the announcement. His inclusion will depend on registration, recovery from the transfer process and Maresca’s final match preparation.
